Privacy

This notice describes how The Living Manuscript handles information when you use our web application. We keep it aligned with how the product is built today; if behavior changes, we will update this page.

Account and profile

When you create an account, we process the details you submit during registration (such as email, name, and credentials) and store them with your user record on our servers so you can sign in and use the service.

Journal content and media

Entries, media uploads, habits, collections, and related data you create in the app are stored in our backend and tied to your account so you can access them across sessions and devices that use your login.

Session and device storage

To keep you signed in, the application stores a session identifier in your browser's local storage after authentication. This is a first-party mechanism limited to your browser and origin.

Cookies and optional embeds

We use a cookie consent flow to record whether you allow optional embedded media (for example third-party video embeds). Your choice is stored in browser storage so we do not load those resources until you consent. You can change this decision from Cookie settings in the app when signed in, consistent with our product behavior.
